Help with Sving.
Most questions are answered below. For anything else, write to [email protected] and say which device and which version of the app you have. We answer in English or Swedish.
Filming
How do I film a swing? Prop the phone up at about hip height, or use a small tripod. Face-on is filmed from in front of you, square to your chest. Down-the-line is filmed from behind you, along the line from the ball to the target. Keep your whole body and the club in the frame through the whole swing. Each video only needs to cover one swing. The app shows a guide for each angle.
Why did the app say the angle is off? Sving checks that a face-on video really is face-on and that a down-the-line video really is down-the-line. If the camera is too far round to one side, the measurements do not mean what they should, so the app asks you to film again rather than analyse a video it cannot trust. Move the camera so it is square to you, or directly behind you along the target line.
Can I use a video I already have? Yes. Choose it instead of filming. The same angle check applies.
Findings
What do close, some way off and a long way off mean? Each finding is measured against a target for your club, with a margin. Close means within the margin. Some way off means outside it but not by much. A long way off means well outside it. Turn on numbers in Settings to see the measured value, the target and the margin for every finding.
Why only three findings? Because three is what you can work on. Sving reports the three that matter most for your game, in that order. When one is fixed, the next one takes its place in the follow-up.
Why does the driver get different results from the irons? Because a driver swing is meant to look different from an iron swing. Irons, fairway woods and hybrids, and the driver each have their own targets. Pick the club before you film.
Follow-ups
What is a baseline? The first swing in a session. Every follow-up in that session is measured against it, and against the swing before, so you can see what has changed and what is fixed.
Can I start over? Start a new session. Your old one stays in the list until you delete it.
Sving+
What is free? Your first analysis: one swing, with its most important finding, that finding's drills and its animation. Sving+ unlocks every other finding with its drills and animations, follow-ups, and unlimited sessions for every club.
How do I restore Sving+ on a new device? Open Settings in the app, tap the Sving+ card, and tap Restore purchases. The device has to be signed in to the same Apple ID, or on Android the same Google account, that bought Sving+.
I have an iPhone and an Android phone. Do I pay twice? Only if you want Sving+ on both. A purchase stays with its store: Sving+ bought on the App Store does not unlock it on Android, and Sving+ bought on Google Play does not unlock it on an iPhone or iPad. Your sessions stay on the device they were filmed on either way.
How do I cancel a subscription? On iPhone and iPad, subscriptions are managed by Apple: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Sving. On Android they are managed by Google Play: open your subscriptions on Google Play (in the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions), choose Sving and tap Cancel subscription. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the end of the current period stops the next renewal. Sving+ stays unlocked until the period ends.
How do I get a refund? Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and refunds for Google Play purchases by Google, under Google Play's refund policies.
